Let's face it: Our society has reached a point where social media is controlling our lives. We're picking restaurants based on Instagram aesthetics, buying things we didn't know existed until our favorite influencer showcased them, treating people with a few more followers like they're the Beyoncé of our social circle, and logging off always questioning why our happiness took a hit. Or is it just me?
I've contemplated vanishing without a trace from this online realm multiple times, especially as my profile continued to grow. This notion became particularly pronounced during my three-week jungle escapade, where I was busy diving deep into the world of yoga and forgetting about my little online world. Upon logging back in, I felt the urge to promptly log back out. Above everything, I felt overwhelmed.
